you can teleport to the middle section of the jade stairs by killing a crab there :P. (to explore in ease etc) |

An easier way for the dopple thing was to just have you both die. Put massive Degen/Or w/e on him, and get yourself killed. Wait for him to degen or w/e to death, you get the exp even though your dead, then 'Return to Outpost' and repeat.
You can still do this for the effect, but you only get the exp once nowadays (its still cool to get the 50k exp WHILE DEAD lol) |

The problem about this is, people abused it big time. Some folks did this over 300 times, getting insane amounts of exp and Skillpoints, during an Era every kind of unlocking had to be done PVE Style. Those folks were the ones getting banned for it. And actually, if someone does this kind of thing so fricking often he simply can't defend himself by saying "meh, it was an accident". Exploiting is exploiting, no matter how little and useless the outcome of it might be. Besides to trigges this exploit you had to do a certain thing at the right time (d'uh, like with any exploit - but this one was very specific in what to do when and it was something that was probably very obvious in the logfiles). Finally, this one is dead for over a year now, so i don't actually see the reference between banning people for this and the "dead" GW. |

Well...
Another exploration exploit is in Frost gate, two methods actually Either use Necrotic transversal on Snow wolfs thats on the Rurik path, A snow wolf (usually) gets killed by one of the siege engines thats near the end of the Dryders Ice tunnel. or have rebirth cast upon you from someone standing under the bridge in the Dryders ice tunnel. Both these methods allows you to travel the path Rurik is running, If you run back (towards where you started) you can see the end of the world, if you run forward you can fight tons of ice golems. |

The only "exploit" I've found was a minor AI bug that could be useful, but not very often, so why put ANet to the bother of fixing it?

Guild Wars does not suffer from the problems that many other mogs have such as Duping, Map Hack, and of the sorts. Sure there were some Minor Exploits like the Gaya Hatchery one, but I believe that this one has been fixed. The most dangerous one maybe (im not sure if its an exploit or not) would be botting but AN has been banning them at regular intervals it seems. other than that there aren't really any Epxloits in the game that havent been fixed. If you do, however, find one you think maybe do not hesitate sending in a support ticket or posting it on these and other forums as Both AN Employees and Alpha Testers Regularly read and pass on the info for it being fixed.

Like I said earlier, the only exploits have been server-side, aka a result of ANets code / not thinking like a devious player
There are no client side exploits, ie give yourself 10000000 health. |

As in many games, there are a few exploits in the game. There is a big difference between exploiting the gameplay mechanics to accomplish something that you couldn't do normally if you played it straight and exploiting a bug.
To GW credit when I played they plugged up several bugs pretty fast. Unfortunately it's the ones that are not considered bugs is the reason I don't play |

The only exploit I can remember was slipping through certain gates to complete missions without the timer running out on you...ANet fixed it in short order...

I think the coolest "exploit" when there was a preview of Factions, if you pressed Space key, when an assassin had a shadow step on, you do a front roll on the ground. I think that was neat.
